Nir Nakav’s newest EP release is ‘A Different Shade of Black’, and it revives blackened death metal by combining it with fierce instrumentation and passion.
This is an era where artificial music and software precision have crowded the industry. This stands true even in the metal music scene. However, Nir Nakav brings a breath of fresh air with his newest album and the purest artistry that comes with it. His newest record, ‘A Different Shade of Black‘, is an enlivening example of what joy metal music can bring to your ears when it is made with passion and authentic musicianship.
With a total of 4 records, this EP continues to woo you from beginning to end. The first record is ‘Forest of the Vengeful’, and it combines razor-sharp riffs with dynamic drumming to give you a taste of what Nakav men are truly capable of. ‘Thy Flesh Consumed’ is the album’s most creative piece, where the lyrics are unapologetically honest. ‘Whore Collection’ and ‘Satan’s Book’ further progress the EP, balancing out aggressive dark humor with magnificent instrumentation. The entire collection has taken me to a familiar classic metal vibe, but mixed with modern beats, and that is why I will always come back to this musical piece.
A man of various talents, Nir Nakav is a drummer, producer, educator, and songwriter, and he plays every role with utmost sincerity. This passion and sincerity are also reflected in his musical work, especially his newest EP.
