Doja Cat is dancing with the Devil in her latest official single ‘Paint The Town Red’, also announcing her upcoming Scarlet Tour through this magnetic release.

Once again Doja Cat is seen feeding her kittens with lofty pieces of red meat, dismissing all the controversy with her divisive boyfriend’s disapproval of her fandom name. Her unyielding attitude is completely saturated in her latest pompous music video, showcasing her wrath in the most sensuous way while she ‘Paint The Town Red’. The song features lyricism like “Yeah, bitch, I said what I said / I’d rather be famous instead,” taking the song a level higher with, “I let all that get to my head / I don’t care, I paint the town red.” In this video, she is seen with the hooded figure of the Grim Reaper while she is seen in a hot red body-hugging gown making her intimidating and enticing at the same time.

While she sings, “My happiness is all of your misery,” it gave a slight feeling that she is also talking about her fans being judgmental of her dating a man who has been previously accused of sexual misconduct. The lyricism for this number is exclusively from Doja’s point of view, whether she is talking to his audience or her controversial dating life, this song shuts everyone in the most Doja Cat way. Her attention-grabbing alter-ego, Scarlet is having a combative wordplay with herself, and this makes this song more engaging for every music lover.

Yet, all of these humbling releases are actually bringing everyone closer to her fourth studio album after all. So be “Red-dy”, put your dancing shoes on and bring your most Scarlet lipstick out as she is ready to slay. ‘Paint The Town Red’ is her first release after June’s ‘Attention’. The video was directed by Fergie collaborator Nina McNeely and was inspired by three paintings Doja Cat designed. This color-grading process continues as she will embark on her first headlining North American tour this fall. The tour is named the “Scarlet Tour”, and she will be having Ice Spice and Doechii joining her as openers for this tour.

Her last album ‘Planet Her’ was released in 2021, and hopefully, we will get to witness a new album soon. She has kept all her fans in mystery for her fourth album. Yet, her fans are anticipating all these aesthetically appealing clues to fall in line to create something extremely musical and magical at the same time.
