Famous musicians J Balvin and Ed Sheeran come together in their first-ever collaboration with their latest EP featuring songs, ‘Sigue’ and ‘Forever My Love’.

The fruit of J Balvin and Edshheran’s friendship is finally here with their latest collaboration that produced the pair’s first-ever EP featuring two incredible and versatile singles, Sigue and Forever My Love. The two bilingual tracks have won the hearts of fans across the world. While the first song features an uptempo reggaeton dance vibe the second one is a melancholic love ballad with both the artist showcasing their acoustic guitar playing skills. The soothing sonic essence of the songs lingers in the air for a long time.

The songs are in English and Spanish. Sheeran showcased his hold over the language and how much he has improved by singing complete verses in Spanish in both tracks. It is not the first time Sheeran has tried his hands in singing in Spanish. The first time he drabbled in Spanish was with the 2017 remix of his hit song ‘Shape of You’. The remix featured Zion and Lennox. The British singer once again was seen singing in Spanish in Camila Cabello’s soundtrack, ‘Bam Bam’. Though he mainly sings in English, he participated in the chorus singing, ‘asi es ala vida’. He has especially learned the language for the songs. In the EP with Balvin, he goes all the way performing full verses in Spanish.

J Balvin and Ed Sheeran

J Balvin and Ed Sheeran announced their collaboration through their joint post on Instagram earlier this week. In the post, the artists shared their stories on how they met each other the first time. According to the post they met at a gym in New York and their friendship started from there. Sheeran recognized Balvin’s voice when he was talking on the phone and he approached him by saying ‘hi’. It was only the beginning of their great friendship that blossomed into the EP that you see today.

The music videos of both singles have been released a few hours ago and already gained millions of views on YouTube. ‘Sigue’ is a dynamic party song featuring an exhilarating instrumental rhythmic flow created by famous reggaeton producer Tainy. On the other hand, ‘Forever My Love’ is a much slower and lyrically powerful melody that is completely led by acoustics. The music video features a black and white clip of the artist recording the song together in the studio. The music videos can be found on YouTube and the audio versions of the tracks are available on various streaming platforms.
