Carrie Underwood is giving her fans a fine taste of early Christmasy vibes with her latest song that she sings along with a gospel choir to create the perfect uplifting Holiday ambiance. The song ‘Let There Be Peace (Live From The Today Show / 2020)’ calls for peace, joy, and hope amidst the most disturbing 2020 backdrop and comes from her upcoming album My Gift. Her upcoming album is all set to get launched globally next month. The Grammy award winner brought her whole enthusiasm and zeal to sing this anthem that makes for one of the most cheerful and happy gifts for her fans this season. Apparently, the singer had started composing this album before the onset of the pandemic but recorded the special project amidst the crisis.

On talking to Today’s Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie much ahead of the performance, Carrie said the making of the cheerful record My Gift was certainly not easy and also said that she was longing to make a Christmas album for quite some time now. She also said that when someone starts talking about all things Christmas, they simultaneously start talking about the ways to bring it to life. To her, the year 2020 just seemed to be the perfect time for a Christmas album, which they had started planning for at the end of the last year. And even though they are completely unknown of what this year had in hold for everyone, they already had the wheels in motion.

The song is an instant mood up-lifter and is also seemingly the best time to indulge in some spiritual and personal reflection. Underwood stated in a press release that even though the year has been difficult for all, sometimes it is the most difficult times in our lives that call for the greatest realizations. These are the times that make us more grateful for the things that we already possess and also for the ones that truly matter.

While continuing to speak, Carrie Underwood went on to say that she feels truly blessed to have got the incredible opportunity to sing these type of inspirational, joyful, hopeful, and amazing songs as it gave her so much peace to be able to go into the studio during the time of crisis and record these songs. The way they all struggled to put this special project together, felt great when she was able to be on the stage, performing. Even though she didn’t have an audience but she was blessed with a gorgeous orchestra and had her band by her side, which felt just like home, she added.

Given the current circumstances, Carrie has not been able to perform for live audiences, but however, the COVID-19 pandemic doesn’t seem to tame her at all. This year has blessed the performer, who apparently has completely amazed her viewers with her vocal proficiency during a 2020 ACM Awards tribute to the female country has along with it won that ceremony’s Entertainer of the Year trophy as well.

Sometime else during 2020, Underwood had ushered in Sunday Might Football with a brand new opening and had also re-imagined her 2011 duet with Brad Paisley, Remind Me for the world’s current difficult situation.

In the end, all that can be said is Let There Be Peace is surely going to tune well with the audience at this hour and for all times, and surprisingly it isn’t the only merry ode to be found on her upcoming eleven tracks album My Gift. For those listeners who want a taste of the singer’s Yuletide stuff, feel free to check out Underwood’s Hallelujah along with fellow superstar John Legend and also Little Drummer Boy that she performed with her five-year-old son Isaiah. The song is now streaming on YouTube.
