Renowned hip hop artist Young Thug offers a wide range of melodies and vocal performance in his star cast new album, ‘Punk’ featuring 20 exceptional soundtracks.
One of the greatest hip hop artists in the contemporary hip hop industry, Young Thug is back with his second studio album, ‘Punk’ released on October 15th this year. After his first release, ‘Slime Language 2’ the brilliant artist dropped the new album with 300 Entertainment and Young Stoner Life Records. The 20-track album opens with the soothing and thought-provoking lyrical number, ‘Die Slow’, which was recorded in a hotel room in Venice two years ago. The track presents an oscillation between his pride and shame. He describes how he missed his son’s birthday due to one of his tours. The track also depicts his brother almost getting the life sentence and his mother nearly dying. There is also a monologue about his parents’ split, hit-and-run, and a shooting.
His emotional state can be felt through every line of the monologue. The idiosyncratic nature of the lyrics has surprised the audience as this side of the artist is seen hardly ever. Though he tries to talk about the bad experiences in a comical way, his pain is prominent in his voice. The album features many heavyweights like Doja Cat, A$AP Rocky, Post Malone, Drake, J. Cole, Travis Scott, Gunna, Nate Ruess, Future, and many more. Juice WRLD and Mac Miller will be making guest appearances on the project.
