A few days prior I had the opportunity to listen to a rising star, Belinda Song’s newest album ‘Forever’ and I was left spellbound. A lot of beautiful and talented singers left underrated and truly Belinda’s newest creation speaks volumes about her caliber as an artist. The lead track of the EP titled ‘FOREVER‘ took me to an emotional rollercoaster while listening, however, the third track from the album named ‘I MISS YOU’ is what truly captured my attention and has given me the most spectacular experience. As an R&B lover myself, in recent times I have only listened to a handful of tracks that carry that special element that can attract your soul and this song is definitely on that list.
There is no doubt in saying that the talented artist has mastered the art of tugging the heartstrings of strangers with her songs. Firstly if I talk about the composition of the song, it follows a perfect blend of retro and modern-day production with dreamy keys. It has got sensual alternative R&B vibes and brings out the true essence of the genre.
The lyrics just do justice to the slow and dreamy tempo of the song. Belinda Song showcased her skills as a storyteller in the song ‘I MISS YOU’ as the track is written with utmost caliber. The lyrics contain pure emotions as the singer mentions it is written in the loving memory of everyone she has ever loved but does not have in her life anymore.
