The music video for the latest song, ‘Bheegi Saree’, has created a major sensation among Indians with its steamy and drenched representation. The track features an amazing chemistry between Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, and it is officially bringing back the Bollywood Rain era. Rain and romance are always a good combination that has been used to showcase the sizzling side of the Bollywood couples in the movies, and the ‘90s are making a comeback through the songs of ‘Param Sundari’. A major portion of the song feels like an improvised reflection of the Bollywood OG song ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’, where Raveena Tandon offered a bold performance with Akshay Kumar while being clad in a drenched saree. The utilization of rain and romantic choreography remains almost the same without the need for a signature step.

The song ‘Bheegi Saree’ is composed by Sachin-Jigar and they have kept the musical arrangement simple and enjoyable. As usual Amitabh Bhattacharya offered the lyrics for the song which is perfect for a wet romantic track. What is most attractive for the listeners is the vocal clarity that the song has received by bringing back the legendary singers of Bollywood, namely Shreya Ghoshal and Adnan Sami. It seems like their voice have remained the same through all these years as they are still as beautiful as they were decades back. It is an enjoyable song and stands out for offering nostalgia. The song ‘Bheegi Saree’ provides a seductive depiction of romance, bringing back the taste of Bollywood from the 2000s through its visual representation, music, and the singers who have won millions of hearts.

However, it is still not certain whether ‘Param Sundari’ will be able to bring the Bollywood OG era through its story and cinematic representation or not. This movie by Maddock Films is all set to release on 29th August, and only a theater release can offer authentic audience feedback for this film by Tushar Jalota. The soundtrack for the movie looks like a tribute to the retro era, as the previous track, ‘Pardesiya’, also offers the essence of a true-blue classic love song from Bollywood.
