After the much-awaited gossip about the brilliant Troublemane launching his latest album Mr. T in the market, the album is finally out there in the industry and the people are going crazy over it. Consisting of a total of 12 tracks, for me, this album is his best creation yet. Also known to his family and friends as Christopher Smith, he uses his music to tell the audience his life stories. And what better way to convey your mind other than hip-hop? Out of the 12 tracks there of his tracks titled as ‘Dead President’, ‘Mile away’ and ‘Cinderella Story’ fascinated me the most. Thou all of the tracks have been based on the genre of hip-hop each of them are poles apart from each other. In each of them, the audience is introduced to a new side of Troublemane.
The track ‘Dead President’ is hypnotic in both its creation and melody. In fact, these are the kind of tracks that get people interested in hip-hop in the first place. Everything about this track is crisp and clear starting from the lyricism to the intense soundscape which plays a major role in making the track one of its kinds. Compared to this ‘Mile away’ is about determination and not giving up on one’s goal. This track was my favourite among the three due to its relatable theme. There are elements of contemporary hip-hop incorporated within this making it versatile and fresh for the listeners. Out of the three, this seemed deeply personal. But it was ‘Cinderella Story’ that was a hit among the audience due to its sensational backdrop and groovy rhythms.
