Garrett Welldone, the Toronto-bred beatsmith and vibe provider will be remembered for a long time for his enlivening compositions, perfect to uplift your mood. Recently I came across his latest E.P. ‘ADHD Beat Tape’, and absolutely fell in love with the compositions. The musical pieces fall under lofi or instrumental and are exactly how you would imagine your relief music to be. The dynamic beats of the tracks have captivated my mind and I have played them in a loop ever since. The E.P. contains four tracks entitled ‘Adderall’, ‘Ritalin’, ‘Dexedrine’, and ‘Vyvanse’, and all of them will make you feel lively and calm.
It is pretty interesting how Garrett Welldone has kept the names of the tracks similar to the medication names. How the tracks produce similar calm and soothing effects through their beats. The four tracks were written and composed by the artist himself and what surprised me the most is how the music was completely produced on the OP-1 by Teenage Engineering, without using any computers in the entire creative process.
