Today, Flo Milli has released her sophomore studio album ‘Fine Ho, Stay’ on Friday, March 15. And we will get to see SZA and Cardi B in ‘Never Lose Me’ Remix.
Yesterday, on the 14th of March Flo confirmed that SZA and Cardi B will feature in her latest hit “Never Lose Me”, remix version. This was a day before she dropped her sophomore album ‘Fine Ho, Stay’. Flo and SZA have been teasing about collaboration since January 2024, and now Flo has confirmed the collaboration. Fans were anticipating this collaboration but Carbi D hopping in this collaboration was a “surprise surprise,” for all music lovers. They both shared about it on Twitter (now known as X) as they lip-synched with one another to the intro of the song at a parking lot. Flo captioned it post with “POP UP GUESS WHO B-TCH.”
Both of them are seen in a similar sort of attire while Cardi B’s sticking yellow hair color added the tangy zest of the video that they shared on social media, nudging about the collaboration. This has effectively spiked the inertest amongst many music enthusiasts across the globe.
Previously the rapper has released two other “Never Lose Me” remixes. One of them was with Lil Yachty and the other one was with Bryson Tiller. ‘Never Lose Me’ is the highest charting number of Flo’s career; it peaked up to no. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100. The number also gained the 7th spot on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and it also reached no. 14 on Rhythmic Airplay. In February 2024, she achieved the longest consecutive streak at No. 1 on TikTok Billboard Top 50. The song has been there on the pinnacle of that list for four weeks straight, after its inception in September 2023.
In an interview, Flo said, “I was in the studio all night, and I wasn’t really focused.” Then she added, “I was working on other stuff for my project, and then right when I was about to leave, I asked the engineer to pull up this beat — that’s when I started rapping. For the ‘Never Lose Me’ part, I’m such a perfectionist: Until I get a line right and it sounds like how it sounds in my head, I’ll do it so many times. I just kept saying, ‘You never wanna lose me.’ I wasn’t expecting it to blow. I was just doing it for me.”
