Driving home with pure delight, Julia soothes her way through the mix with a piano lead which will get even the sternest of listeners swaying into a tranquil corner. It is wholesome from the get-go, and it is astonishing to think it is just Julia alone with her piano for most of the introduction. It sounds full and provides plenty despite its minimalistic setup.
From the opener, we hear a more dynamic structure with a synth accompaniment which gives the track an added weight. It works tremendously well at plucking at our emotions with its piercing attribute. Also, the synth leads us down a new path, and it opens our imagination which is refreshing for anyone who likes to delve deep. As the synth arrives, the track builds and picks up the pace, and it pushes itself far into a peaceful space, and here, it isn’t easy to get out, not like you would want to.
Overall, neo-classical is flying forward with Julia leading the way. She performs with honesty, and she leaves no room for any ambiguity with her composition resonating instantly. Also, she finds influence from the more beautiful aspects of life, which is refreshing, and it is the perfect track to steer us out of the summer months with its unique position.
For me, I cannot fault this new composition. It does everything it says on the tin, and it is everything that you would expect from a modern-day music composer like Julia Thomsen.
