The industry is gifted with some very few artists for whom music is not just about building a career but holds a much deeper meaning and I am fortunate enough to come across one such talent named Mark Hamilton. The singer digs deep into the ocean of rock-pop, alternative pop, and indie pop music to extract some swooning melodies and uses them to create songs that focus on mental illness, a silent epidemic that has claimed the lives of countless artists and individuals. With his artistic soul, the singer re-imagines the inspiring songs crafted by those musicians with hope in his heart to break the stigma attached to mental health. I was fully mesmerized and awestruck with his songs ‘Numb’, ‘Be Yourself’, ‘One More Light’, and ‘Come As You Are’. It was pretty difficult to hold back my tears as every song called for a higher level of attention and emotional connection.
Guided by acoustic music and soulful instrumentals, the songs let my mind wander and feel all the erupting emotions all at once.
