Miley Cyrus Reveals Her Vulnerable Side through New Single ‘More to Lose’

After gaining much attention with the teaser, Miley Cyrus has dropped the leading single from her upcoming album. ‘More to Lose’ is out now with an official music video.

Miley Cyrus is back with her musical magic and this time, she is reflecting an emotional and vulnerable side of her. She has recently dropped a teaser for her brand new single called ‘More to Lose’ which perhaps denotes that she has nothing more to lose after achieving so much in life. Beautifully crafted with cinematic piano, strings and guitar; the soundscape is perfectly complementing the raspy vocals of Miley. The power in her voice and clarity in her vision reflects as the singer sings, “I knew someday that one would have to choose,” and then further continues with “I just thought we had more to lose.”

This amazing pop ballad is appearing in the upcoming album called ‘Something Beautiful’ which will be releasing a few weeks after. The release of ‘More to Lose’ on May 9 is helping to create a massive buzz and anticipation before the release of the album. This single has also released with an official music video which is already garnering much attention from the audiences. The OMV is masterfully crafted with a dreamy layer and a monochromatic approach that looks retro and gorgeous. Cyrus could be seen singing while looking directly to the camera which appears as if she is interacting with the listeners directly. Directed by Jacob Bixenman, Brendan Walter and Cyrus herself; this music video is truly ‘something beautiful’.

Cyrus has also explained that making process of this music project was intriguing. She said, “I tried to keep it a singular take,” which explains the cinematography and creative work of the video. Talking about the emotional depths of this song, she further added, “It’s really a song that’s more of a story, and I never want that to be interrupted or overthought or chasing perfection. I never wanted ‘More to Lose’ to be perfect, I wanted it to sound beautiful and emotional.” It is agreeable that she has poured down a greater dose of vulnerabilities in her songs which also make her powerful and authentic. Miley will be reflecting her deeply personal side through the album ‘Something Beautiful’ which is all set to drop on May 30. The album will be offering a total of 13 tracks and each of them can offer a different color from Miley’s palette. According to her, it is “not only my best album, but also my gayest.”
