Ed Sheeran is bringing back his doppelgänger, Harry Potter star Rupert Grint, for an upcoming music video, ‘A Little More’. The video is scheduled to release on August 7.
Ed Sheeran is coming back with an “utterly bonkers” music video as the singer-songwriter teased his fans in a recent post. This will be a music video for his song ‘A Little More’, which will feature the return of Rupert Grint, his stalker. The 4-times Grammy Winner took to Instagram to share a short clip featuring Grint, the Harry Potter star. The clip also showcases Grint visibly looking worse as he walked out of a prison, possibly for stalking Sheeran.
The previous appearance of the Harry Potter star was on Lego House, Sheeran’s music video that was released back in 2011. In the music video, Rupert was seen playing a character of a stalker, seemingly portraying the life of Ed Sheeran. Grint wrote songs as Ed Sheeran, lounged on a tour bus, and even got on stage as the singer in front of a cheering crowd. However, his fever dream broke when the security tackled him to get off the stage. At this point, the viewers immediately realize that he is just an obsessive fan, trying to live Ed Sheeran’s life as Ed Sheeran. As the video continues, Rupert’s obsession grows astonishingly. The video ends with the two running into each other as Rupert is being forcibly removed from the venue of a music video.

Now, with this short glimpse of the music video, it is seemingly clear that Rupert has spent the last few years in jail for stalking and is now finally walking out as a free man. Showing his excitement for the upcoming music video, Ed Sheeran shared the teaser clip on Instagram with a caption, “4 years later me and @rupertgrint are reunited. I had this wild idea after writing the song, and thankfully Rupert was up for it.” He then continued, “It’s an utterly bonkers video for a very upbeat, fun, but angry song. Think this one is gonna be a lot of people’s fav song from Play. Out Thursday, watch out for more stuff coming.”
The video features Grint walking out of prison in an orange jumper. After he walks out, a selection of old clips from the ‘Lego House’ music video plays before the words that Rupert was seen walking down the street. The clip then reveals that the music video will be released on 7th August. Fans did not waste any time before commenting on the post, showcasing how obsessively happy they are as Ed and Rupert are reuniting. “Omg he was on prison all these years,” one comment read. Another fan posted, “I’m so excited for this because when the Lego House video came out I was a huge Rupert fan at the time and that’s what introduced me to Ed’s music.” “Lego house is one of my favouritesss, super excited for a little more!!!?!” one excited fan wrote, as another one added, “14 freaking years ago. We’re all getting old over here. Mad.”
‘A Little More’ is another single that will be featured on Sheeran’s upcoming album ‘Play’. The album will be released on 12th September 2025, and features hit singles like ‘Azizam’, ‘Old Phone’, and ‘Sapphire’.
