Kesha Lifts Her Mom up as PebeSebert Steps into Her Self-titled First Album

Kesha’s mother, PebeSebert, is making her debut in the industry with her first-ever self-titled album. She also said that this is going to be her one and only album.

PebeSebert, the mother of global pop star Kesha, shared a big moment with her fans. She said her first album will land on 12th December. She posted the news on social media with a short caption. She wrote that this is her only album. The line felt open and true. The caption read, “PebeSebert. My one and only album.”  A little before the announcement, she put out a new song called ‘City’s Burning’. It is the third track tied to this project. She released two earlier songs in the past years. One was ‘Vampire from 2021’ and the other one was ‘Hard Times Ahead’ from 2022. Each song felt raw to her listeners in its own way. Each of Pebe’s releases showed her voice in a clear space.

The upcoming self-titled album will contain eleven songs. All of them come from her recordings from the Eighties. This is the reason fans are going to get a sound that feels warm and full of heart. Her album is going to give a soft look into her life at that time. You can hear a mix of hope and weight in the way she sings.

Kesha will be supporting her mother in her own way. The ‘TikTok’ singer will put the album out through her own label. She used the same label for her sixth album in July. It feels like a proud moment for both of them. “I grew up in the studio, watching my mom turn her life into songs. These moments became stories. these stories are her life,” Kesha said in a post on X. The artist has regularly worked with her mother throughout her entire career. “She wrote an album before I was born. This was the only album she made as an independent artist before focusing her life on raising her children and writing songs for other people,” the popstar said further. “I grew up watching this alchemy, and I only became who I am because of the road she paved before me. I’m so proud to finally release my mom’s debut album on KESHA RECORDS, and I’m so proud of her release today !” the singer continued.

When she released ‘Vampire’ in 2021, Sebert spoke about her battle with substance abuse. She shared how it pulled her away from her work and shaped that chapter of her life in a hard way. “I felt like this song had died along with my career as a recording artist when my life fell off the tracks due to drug and alcohol abuse in the middle of recording my debut album, I grieved the loss of my recording career and this music I was so proud of,” Sebert said in a statement. “Last year I found these tapes in a dusty box in my basement and Guy [Roche] was nice enough to help me bring them back to life and it’s very fulfilling to finally release this.”
