Punjabi pop star Karan Aujla has a huge number of Indian fans, and that has been proven through the latest ‘P-Pop Culture’ tour leg in India. The artist embarked on this world tour to support his latest chart-topping album project ‘P-Pop Culture,’ and thus, the tour is named so. The 2025 album has captivated many listeners, and the opening date of this tour began in India only. The first show was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, and there were more than 75k attendees at the show, which is massive. These high numbers made a new record for Karan as it became “India’s second highest-attended single-day concert”.

India’s largest music concert to date would be the two shows held by Coldplay, which were arranged in Ahmedabad in January 2025; each night of that event attracted more than 110,000 attendees. According to Live Nation, it is also “the highest-attended stadium gigs this century” across the world, especially for the operative word being “stadium”. However, Karan Aujla is also not far behind, and this record of 75k concert goers also sets a new benchmark for the highest-attended “single-artist” in the capital of India. Previously, American rapper Travis Scott set a record with 60k-plus attendees in the same venue, which took place in October 2025.

The P-Pop Culture tour by Karan will take place all over the country, and there are dates for 11 different cities, including Chandigarh, Indore, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Ludhiana. According to the stats and data gathered from the first show, this tour will gather another 500,000 fans, and it can generate more than $30m in revenue, overall. The numbers are much higher than Karan Aujla’s ‘It Was All A Dream Tour’, which took place in 2024 and could gather only half of the revenue, around $15m. Now, the big numbers also come with a fair share of consequences, and for the Delhi show, there were many crowd fights and theft of wristbands from the ticket counters, which is quite common for Indians in Delhi.

India’s ‘concert economy’ is scaling up exponentially, with all the globally revered artists opting for this country as the best place for their concert tours, as the country has a high population in the world with a massive consumer base for every industry. The Delhi concert by Aujla featured a 50-foot-high main stage along with IMAX-style LED screens as well as a mid-concert zipline, which gives the feeling and experience of international concerts with its fancy flares. However, what the organizers are bringing on stage is not satisfying enough when the infrastructure and management on the ground are pretty pathetic, and that can tamper with the whole experience of concertgoers. It might not affect the artist’s performance or revenue, but it creates a bad impression for the concert culture.
