Diljit Dosanjh Makes History by Becoming the First Punjabi Artist to Perform at Wembley Stadium

The global popularity of Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh is not unknown to anyone, as he has already done some epic feats. This time, the singer cum actor is making history as he is preparing for his first performance at Wembley Stadium in London. This will make him the first Punjabi artist to ever perform in this stadium, which is mostly engaged with the performances of international artists.

This is going to be the largest European concert ever done by Dosanjh, and he is one of the headliners. The show is scheduled to take place on September 12 of this year, and the anticipation is high among his fans in the UK.

The stadium is best known for its 90,000-capacity, and it will be all filled during the show. Dosanjh becomes the first-ever Indian artist to put his step in Wembley, as previously, the record was made by another talented Indian singer, Arijit Singh, who headlined at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2025.

Diljit Dosanjh made this announcement himself during his show in Toronto, Canada, which took place on Sunday. May 31. He was performing at the Rogers Centre in the city, and he also offered a reference that he will be performing at the same venue where legends like Michael Jackson, Prince, and Queen have already performed.

Wembley Stadium was previously popular for sports only, but now, it has become one of the best venues for music concerts. In the coming months, the stadium will be hosting many other concerts for the artists, namely Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Harry Styles, My Chemical Romance, Bon Jovi, and so on.

This is not the first time, but Diljit Dosanjh has already performed in London before in October 2024. Back then, he performed in front of 20,000 people at the O2 Arena. The tickets for the upcoming Wembley concert can be found on Live Nation, as the sales for tickets start on June 10 at 10 a.m. The general sale for the tickets starts on June 12 at the same time.

Dosanjh seems to be the guy with unbridled energy and creativity, as he is already amidst his Aura world tour with multiple venues in North America. He has already done two shows at Madison Square Garden in NYC, and the tour is supposed to end with two shows at Chase Center in San Francisco on June 20 and 21.
