Karol G Surprises L.A. Crowd with Bruno Mars and ‘Still’ Debut

Karol G surprised fans at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium on Saturday when she welcomed Bruno Mars to the stage for the first live performance of their new collaboration, ‘Still’. The unexpected appearance came during the Colombian superstar’s second of three sold-out shows at the venue. It gave the audience a special first look at the song performed by both artists.

Before Mars appeared, a message on the stadium’s giant video screen revealed that the performance was also being filmed for the official music video. The announcement added another layer of excitement to an already highly anticipated concert moment. “We’ve never performed this song live before, and today, you’ll not only hear it for the first time but also witness the recording of its music video right here with us. Are we ready?” the message read.

Karol opened the emotional power ballad in a sparkling white dress before Mars joined her onstage in a flower-embroidered white suit and matching cowboy hat. The two artists shared the spotlight as they delivered ‘Still’, bringing the song’s theme of unconditional love to life through a mesmerizing and intimate performance. The track serves as the opening song on Mars’ 2026 album, ‘The Romantic’. It debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in March, adding another major achievement to Mars’ already impressive run of chart successes.

‘Still’ also holds a personal significance for Karol G. In the song, the two artists sing about loving someone even after a relationship has ended. Karol recently discussed the track in a TikTok video, explaining why recording an English-language song felt natural rather than forced.

“There’s a song on the album that’s entirely in English, and I don’t want people to just see it as, ‘Oh, Karol G’s new English song,’” she said. “I’ve always been open to making music in other languages — without pressure, as long as it flows and happens organically and naturally — and, well, that song found me. It expressed exactly what I was feeling and how I was feeling it; it was literally perfect for what I was going through, and I listened to it constantly. I tried to overthink it, but it was perfect — I hope it touches many people’s hearts.”

‘Still’ appears on Karol G’s latest 14-track album, ‘No Me Arrepiento de SentirTanto’, which brings together several high-profile collaborations. The record also features Drake on ‘Ahí’, Judeline and Rusowsky on ‘Bby WOW’, and Greg Gonzalez of Cigarettes After Sex on ‘Después de ti’. The latter debuted at No. 6 on the Hot Latin Songs chart earlier this year.

Karol G closes her three-show SoFi Stadium run on Sunday (Aug. 16) before heading to San Francisco for three shows at Levi’s Stadium on Aug. 21 and 22. Her stadium tour will continue across the United States, Mexico, South America, and Europe through July 2027.
