EXID’s Hyelin Successfully Running a Taco Shop in Seoul That Makes More Than 140 Million Won in A Month

Hyelin from EXID is not only a singer anymore but also the owner of a taco shop. She owns the shop in Anguk, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Recently, a YouTube channel named Human Story posted a video and gave a closer look at Hyelin’s taco shop. In the video, the singer was seen in an apron, cooking, servicing customers, and checking orders. Apart from singing, she is building her life in a whole different way.

Hyelin has stated, ‘On average, it’s about 140 million won per month’. She also stated, ‘After all expenses, the net profit is around 40 million won’. As of now, it is known that it works out to approximately $100000 in net monthly sales. And the net take-home profit after labor, rent, and other costs is $29000.

The singer is trying something new on her own, and it would be safe to say that she is running her business quite successfully. The shop was opened earlier this year. In March 2026, she opened the shop, and Hyerin posted regarding the restaurant, saying, ‘I’ve done it! I’ve become a boss!’.

She has worked really hard throughout her life. It took her years to achieve this. Hyerin has described a burnout period of nearly two years. She has put in her effort all these years, when she even questioned her worth. She even stated, ‘Why am I living? What do I like? What am I good at?’ As per Chosun, she also said, ‘I had no reason to get up. I had lost my dream, but I still had to dream again. Then I started thinking about what I had done besides dancing and singing, and what I had tried on my own’.

During the pandemic era, she started a part-time job at a restaurant. And that is the turning point of her life. She worked with people who came from a completely different place. This way, she witnessed how there are different aspects of productivity. This experience unsettled her and encouraged her to try something new in her career.

She also stated, ‘It was shocking that people were so happy while I had wasted that time so carelessly’. This specific experience made her feel that if somehow entertainment dries up, she would have nothing else to do. That is why she started focusing more on building something different other than being a singer.

Recently, when Hyerin was asked whether she has stopped working as a singer or not. the artist directly said that ‘No. I have not quit’. She is still an active member of EXID and a DJ. She is trying to grow in both of her careers simultaneously and trying to be successful. The group, EXID’s last full length album was ‘B.L.E.S.S.E.D’ which was released in 2020. Fans are expecting a new release from the group.
