The 10th anniversary of Mad Cool Festival turned out to be a highly successful music event with a completely sold-out opening night. The first day of the event brought more than 57,000 fans, and the celebrations took on a huge magnitude with performances taking place over five stages together. The main attraction of the event was Foo Fighters, who offered some of the biggest moments while closing out the opening day.

Performing on the newly renovated stage at the Region of Madrid saw one of the biggest musical nights where the band performed timeless classic tracks like “Learn to Fly,””Everlong”, and many others. The rock band from Seattle is much loved in Europe, and fans are happy with its 2026 European stadium run, which is taking place on a much wider map. Foo Fighters is all set to perform two nights at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool. Ahead of their Madrid date, their dates also include in the regions of Vienna, Milan, and Berlin. The tour is scheduled to end with a performance at NOS Alive in Portugal.

Mad Cool Festival’s 10th anniversary celebrations brought some of the rarest comebacks in the music industry and among the new-age audiences. Moby comes back after 21 years of waiting, while Wolf Alice is also there with their highly celebrated album project, ‘The Clearing’. The audience felt quite emotional with the intriguing performances of “Don’t Delete the Kisses” and “White Horses”. Similarly, the fans could also enjoy the sunset performance by The War on Drugs, which took place on the Orange Stage. Arde Bogotá has also returned to Mad Cool for another year with a secret set that surprised the audience. The artist took the alias of Bigger Splash for this special performance.

The organizers thought of providing a more immersive music experience for the attendees, and the renovated stage was perfect for that. The reworked layout of Stage 1 with larger screens and a better audiovisual experience surely captivated everyone. Similarly, the Mahou Cinco Estrellas and Mahou Reserva stages offered some ‘Mad Cool’ moments with acts like Last Dinner Party turning the stage into a theatre. The afternoon slots on the opening day brought high-octane rock energy with the performances by The Warning and Palaye Royale. Fans could also enjoy the performances from The Loop, The War and Treaty, Dogstar, The Vaccines, and so on.  Mad Cool DJ Talent winners closed the stage with a vinyl set.

Just like the name suggests, Mad Cool is best known for its diversified lineups and charitable initiatives that they have specially designed for the 10th anniversary. There is a symbolic ‘Charity’ ticket that contributes directly to the paediatric oncology research department at Hospital Universitario La Paz. Isn’t that Mad Cool?
