Snoop Dogg and Kelly Clarkson brought the holiday vibe to Netflix’s Christmas Day NFL games, joined by HUNTR/X singers, Lainey Wilson, and Andrea Bocelli.
Billed as the Holiday Halftime Party, the performance streamed live and blended Snoop’s well-known hits with classic Christmas songs. It felt playful but polished, with each moment clearly planned to surprise viewers watching at home. The opening set the tone right away, as Martha Stewart appeared to read a special Christmas story. The crowd listened as she delivered the line, “I sprung from my bed, and said, ‘What is cracking?’ Hailing from the one and only LBC, give it up for Snoop D.O. double G.”
From there, the visuals took over. A digital image of a dog filled the screen before morphing into Snoop Dogg himself, standing at midfield. He was surrounded by a marching band, a choir, and backup singers dressed in festive white and red. Wearing a long red coat and matching pants, Snoop looked right at home as the choir sang, “Minnesota knows how to party.”

“It’s Christmas, and we’re about to do some of my favorite Christmas songs,” Snoop told the crowd, setting up a setlist that balanced charm and star power. Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami joined him next. The trio, known as HUNTR/X from Netflix’s animated film KPop Demon Hunters, wore all white as they teamed up with Snoop for a playful take on ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’. The surprises kept coming. Country artist Lainey Wilson made her entrance in an illuminated sleigh, gliding onto the field before launching into ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’. Snoop danced beside her, clearly enjoying the moment as genres blended festively.
The show reached its emotional peak with a final surprise. Andrea Bocelli appeared alongside his son Matteo to perform a cover of Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas.” As fake snow fell from above, the two stood with Snoop, Wilson, and HUNTR/X on a podium. It was a quiet and cinematic ending that contrasted nicely with the earlier high-energy moments. Before leaving the stage, Snoop offered a simple sign-off. “From my family to your family, Merry Christmas.”

The holiday celebrations had started even earlier in the day. Kelly Clarkson opened Game Day with a pre-recorded performance of her hit ‘Underneath the Tree’. The performance aired before the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders game and leaned fully into Christmas fantasy. Clarkson descended from the sky in a sleigh, wearing a white bedazzled dress, as she sang in front of a massive Christmas tree on a snow-covered football field. Fans cheered from the stands while cheerleaders from the four teams danced along. NFL players also appeared during the performance, including Dak Prescott and Jared Goff, who showed off their football moves beside oversized wrapped presents.
Netflix continues to push deeper into live events, especially around major moments like Christmas Day. Last year marked its first time hosting the NFL’s marquee holiday games, which drew a combined 65 million viewers. With this year’s shows landing just hours before the release of the final episodes of Stranger Things, the streamer made it clear that Christmas has become one of its biggest stages.
