Grace Kinstler is pretty much poised to be the next best contestant in ‘American Idol’ to watch out for. The judges of the show also share the same opinion about her.
The premiere of season 4 of the popular show ‘American Idol’ has probably touched upon all the gamuts. It has made the fans to scratch their heads with some strange auditions and there are some terrible ones also and most definitely, those contestants are not going to Hollywood. The last part of the show is the best one and last night it telecasted the 20-year-old contestant Grace Kinstler. She is a college student from the vibrant city of Chicago who has wowed and captivated the judges with her magnificent performance.
Before she sang the track, Kinstler went on to explain that she has been trying to honor her father and this performance is based on his memory who have passed away.
She further added that she used to watch the popular show American Idol in a cozy home environment with her mother and father. She went on to say that it was always imagined by her that if she went to contest in the show as a participant, her father would always be there. But things have changed last February when she received a call from her brother when she was at school. It was pretty early at 7 am when she received the dreaded call. Her brother asked her to look for flights back home. Her brother also informed her that their father has been taken to the hospital as he is not breathing properly. Things are very unexpected as he was doing pretty well before that and it was a sad occasion for the entire family.

She gave chills to the spectators of the show with her very first song ‘Midnight Train to Georgia’. But the judges from American Idol were blown away by Kinstler as they asked her to sing the second track and she quickly responded by choosing ‘Natural Woman’ by Aretha Franklin.
Before Kinstler started to sing the track, she was told by one of the judges, Katy Perry that Carole King, the legendary figure, wrote the song, and another legend that she is Aretha Franklin gave the track the impeccable voice. She told her to sing it in a way to be the legend she wants to become. She also said that it is quite a tall order and told Kinstler not to phone it in rather asked her to sing in a way so that the judges can feel it and get impressed. Katy Perry, also told her that she should sing the track ‘Natural Woman’ in such a way that she has never heard the track before.
Kinstler delivered with her performance as it will suffice to say that. It was easier said than done but the young contestant gave a brilliant performance.
After the performance, Katy Perry told Kinstler that she does not want to do a lot of critiquing and she exclaimed that twice she got a wave of full-body chills.
Luke Bryan also said that this performance is right up there with the audition given by Kelly Clarkson and also the one by Jennifer Hudson. He was brought to tears by the backgrounds of people, their stories, and also their struggles. But this has happened for the first time in as many as four years that someone has just sung and made him cry. He also told her that her father is very, very proud of her at this moment. There is a lot of things to be proud of.
It was quite needless to state the fact that the fans of American Idol were also very proud of her.
Katy Perry also logged in to Twitter and gave a shoutout to Kinstler that made the young singer bask in the glory and made her super excited. Katy Perry took to Twitter and was all praises for Kinstler and said that she has set the bar very high for herself and at the very right time flew over that as well. It was a great compliment coming from the American singer and song-writer and this comment proves the quality that has been etched out by the talented Grace Kinstler.
There were others as well who Twitted and praised the young contestant for performing in front of the judges during such hard times as she was going through an irreparable loss.
Kinstler spoke about the auditioning, right after the audition for the popular show American Idol as she was without her father when she was performing to see her.
She added that her father is not here and this has taught her that one should live all the moments in her life as if this moment is the last one. She also said that one must take every opportunity and all the chances because one does not know what chance one can get because of this reason. She also said that she has got a habit of breaking down and getting nervous from time to time while performing. She quipped that there were auditions where she blew them as sometimes her breath stops working and she is hyperventilating. She kept on thinking how much he went on to believe in her and she tried to believe that much only in herself. She also thought that her father would have been heartbroken had she given up on the contest as she got so much sad after the death of his father. So, it has been quite hard for her but it also provided her the extra motivation for her to keep on going strength to strength with other contestants.
It was quite obvious that the judges from the American Idol gave a unanimous decision and were backing Kinstler to send her to Hollywood. They have evoked the names of some of the greats like Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson as they are one of the big deals as part of this popular show. It is pretty much clear that if there happens to be anyone to watch out for this particular season, it is none other than Grace Kinstler.
