The evergreen soundtrack attracted the audience to see the movie. Asha’s vocals very delicately matched Helen’s, and the audience almost refused to believe that Helen did not sing the song. The crime action thriller movie, ‘Don’ was directed by Chandra Barot, and stars veteran actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman, and Pran. Composed by Kalyanji-Anandji, the dance number was written by Indeevar. Helen and Asha’s magical chemistry yet again impressed the audience and became one the most popular quirky soundtracks to date. In this music video, The character of Helen is trying to woo Amitabh’s character by singing the classic number. Despite the sensual and interesting video, Asha’s vocals captivated the audience with her delicacy. She woos the audience with her versatile performances and succeedsin leaving a mark.

The Indian periodic musical drama ‘Umrao Jaan’ was directed by Muzaffar Ali where Rekha plays the central character. Asha played the traditional ghazal, composed by Khayyam and written by Shahryar.
