The showcase started with Enno Cheng, an elegant Taiwanese singer and songwriter who mesmerizes the virtual audience with her encapsulating vocal tunes in the mountains of Camping East Site located on the east coastline. She shared her ethereal and contagious sounds, which evokes the rich natural landscapes of Taiwan. Next, the punk-rock band Fire EX. enters the serene stage with their unapologetic vibrancy as they performed their song “Stand Up Like A Taiwanese” in a mechanic factory, along aisles of machinery and products – symbols of the country’s renowned manufacturing industry. The Chairs, an iconic group in Southeast Asia, delivered a crowd-pleasing, addictive hook in a dilapidated indoor shrimp fishing farm. They delivered a psychedelic party that takes viewers to an old-school date fishing for shrimp, a popular pastime in Taiwan since the 80s. And lastly, NekoJam, a girl-power electro quartet chose to deliver a dreamlike, astonishing performance at the old, historic Monga-QingShanTemple.
