Handling Success Isn’t Easy, Inner Suspects Shows the Struggle to be on the top in ‘My Eyes’

Inner Suspects has made their trip-hop music and the classic mix of folk sound with EDM popular worldwide. The brand-new music video ‘My Eyes’ arranged by this New South Wales music band on YouTube has revealed their liminal transition in the new musicality. Well, this week we got an opportunity to catch an interview with these musicians. Let’s check the conversation!

Inner

Hello folks, congrats on your latest music video release. So –

Q. How happy are you to see the massive response for the latest music video ‘My Eyes’?

Ans: Extremely happy. As a new band, we are just looking to get out there and get some brand recognition.

Q. How did you make this new project so subjective?

Ans: We really like the chill/trip-hop genre and the feels you get from the chill vibes. Also, writing-wise, we go for takes on what’s going on in the mind or takes on mental health.

Q. What inspired you guys to write the track?

Ans: The track is about your inner demons. Not necessarily facing them or doing something about them, just knowing they are there. Sort of in the middle of deciding to do something and realizing what they are.

Q. The music video is an excellent example of visual art that represents many quintessential factors of society. Who has brought the idea of the video?

Ans: We came up with the idea as many things can come into the life that is not good for you ….particularly now that we are going through a pandemic it seemed relevant.

Q. I have heard that you have been trying to get a big break for a while and now you have a record deal with Vision Lux? Is it an achievement for the band?

Ans:  Didn’t mean to include this. We are not currently not on a label, but working with an American producer that has a company called Visionlux (http://www.visionlux.com.au/) which explores visual themes. Not an achievement as such, but more a choice to go more visual and to choose a producer that likes to explore this

Q. How was the experience of working with such a pre-eminent record label?

Ans: N/A

Q. With this project, it seems like you guys are moving towards a new direction. What are your upcoming endeavors?

Ans: Onwards and upwards. We are heading for the music festival stages.

Q. How did you get influenced to make music in the trip-hop genre?

Ans: I have always loved trip-hop since one of my sisters introduced me to a massive attack and also world music like sacred spirit, enigma, and deep forest. From there I was hooked and it just sat well with my personality.

Q. Does your song help you to overcome any difficult phase in your life? What is that song?

Ans: This current song is a reflection of inner demons that can take over a person’s life, whether it is soured relationships, addiction, mental health issues…or even complications from current events in the world.

Q.    What is the biggest hit song from your previous releases?

Ans: ‘It was Tried’

Q.    Did you guys feel any impact on your scheduled recording plans due to COVID-19?

Ans: We were fortunate that we had the majority of the recording done before the pandemic hit. Then it was just little bits here and there and then figuring out what direction to take the video.

Q.    Do you have any message to give to your fans?

Ans: We truly appreciate our fans. Don’t be shy, send us a message, get to us. We like to chat.

Thanks,
