The rising pop artist Loren is generating a buzz among all the music enthusiasts with his phenomenal song The Feeling. This talented artist is enhancing the charm of pop music and people are truly enjoying his presentations. In this short time span, he has garnered a lot of listeners, which is really impressive. Recently we got the chance to have a chat with him and this is how it went-

DMR: Hello Loren, first of all, congratulations on the huge success of ‘The Feeling’. Would you like to say something about it?

Loren: Thank you! We’re very happy with the attention this track has developed in regards to the online magazine scene – some personal milestones have been made! Thank you for the interview and for spreading the word!!

DMR: In this song you collaborated with Jessi McDonald, how was your experience working with her?

Loren: Great! She’s really nice and very talented – a folk / acoustic singer by nature, this is the first electronic track Jessi has provided vocals for, so was grand to watch her do her thing – each singer has their own qualities and skills they can bring to the table and Jessi’s certainly done that, regardless of her roots!

DMR: How did you come up with the idea for this soundtrack?

Loren: I really like big sounding records and big production be it EDM, hip hop or pop – the principle of layering different instruments and vocals to build your own mini orchestration. So I guess that was the process behind this – layer, layer, layer.

DMR: How was the journey of making this piece of music?

Loren: I used a Juno synth for the first time on The Feeling. It’s quiet and it’s hidden, but it’s in there to give it that classic electronic dance sound. From that, it’s safe to say that the Juno is now my favourite instrument!

DMR: You compose songs on your own, and you are an independent artist. How do you manage all things?

Loren: This is the million dollar question. Time management, writing, emails, sessions, production, finding singers, recording, mixing, making content, working other jobs. It’s a lot. A lot. As an independent, and as a new independent, it’s overwhelming but with time you build more attention, more people contact you and you can hopefully find yourself a team to minimise all of this workload. I’m working towards that. That’s the goal – an uphill battle admittedly but will be worth it!

DMR: You are a pop artist, what has inspired you to become one?

Loren: Max Martin!! My hero. He’s a total genius, I am in complete awe. The way he writes and produces all of those records? Madness.

DMR: Is there any other genre you would like to try in your next projects?

Loren: Pop is an umbrella term – at the moment I’m doing house and EDM inspired pop but it will shift towards disco in due course. Nonetheless, I really want to produce for other artists too and Loren should be a ticket at doing so. Drill, British rap, pop-rock, you name it – I want to do it all. Only because I love it all!

DMR: What has been your inspiration to become a pop musician?

Loren: Mr. Max Martin and Mr. Paul McCartney!

DMR: Are there any other projects you are working on right now?

Loren: The Loren project is very busy at the moment. There are planned releases every month of the year with videos, interviews and promo. For 2023 that is the focus, but as mentioned I do really want to write and produce for other artists. If anyone out there wants a new writer/producer, drop me a bell!

DMR: When your listeners will get to listen to new songs?

Loren: Every month of ’23!

DMR: Are you planning to perform in any concerts or shows in the coming time?

Loren: When there is more material out, 100%. Will be cool to have all of the different singers that sing on my stuff in one gig maybe? Just a thought.

DMR: Would you like to give any message to your fans?

Loren: I’d say fans is pushing it as it still is early haha, but anyone that listens, shares, and talks about my music be it good or bad – thank you!! Means the world to get any sort of reaction.

Thank you again, DMR for your time! Hope our paths cross again.

Thank you so much for taking out your time for us. It was a pleasure talking to you and all the very best for your upcoming projects.
