DMR: Hello Yung 23, a big congratulations on your immense success on ‘The Breaks’. What would you like to say about this achievement?
Yung 23: I owe it to alot of people. People that kept pushing me to keep goin, keep elevating, be brave enough to let my music evolve as I grew as a person and not be ashamed of it.

DMR: How would you like to express the journey of making this track?
Yung 23: I always have fun with it. That part if the reason I still do it. And im pulled in by challenging myself with realism in lyricism.

DMR: What inspired you to make this particular soundtrack?
Yung 23: Life, my kids, my wife, the state i see my country, and my culture in at this point in time.

DMR: You work as an independent artist. How was your experience of making this song?
Yung 23: The process can be tedious but like I said I always find enjoyment in making new music.

DMR: Who inspired you to become a music artist?
Yung 23: Other artists u was listening to growing up. 2pac 50 cent emeinem B.I.G. and then one of my uncles stayed pretty persistent with pushing me into it and im thankful for him everyday for that.

DMR: How do you always come up with such fresh music?
Yung 23: I gotta give the credit for that to life itself. The world dont stop moving there always trials and tribulations. Good stuff bad stuff, I use it all as fuel.

DMR: What encourages you to make songs?
Yung 23: Used to be only like pain and anger at ine point. In order to keep goin after years you gotta get inspiration from other places.

DMR: Other than hip-hop, would you like to work on any other music genre?
Yung 23: I’ve got a soft spot for country music and classic rock.

DMR: Are you working on any new songs right now?
Yung 23: Yes I am always working on new music. When one drops one is always in the batters box ready to go.

DMR: When will your audiences get to listen to your new music?
Yung 23: Yes I am always working on new music. When one drops one is always in the batters box ready to go.

DMR: Are you planning to go to any concerts or shows in recent times?
Yung 23: Not as of right now. Im targeting my audience, building up a larger fan base so I will be very active on social media and thing like that but as of right now no shows planed for 2025.

DMR: Do you have anything to say to your fans?
Yung 23: Id like to thank my fans for sticking with me for as long as they have. Through the ups and downs. As confident as I feel sometimes I wouldn’t be able to go oj without the reassurance of my real fans and I want them to know I wont let them down, we are gonna take this to the top.
