It is not astonishing that BLACKPINK has been setting the bar high for Korean pop girl gangs around the world but this time they have hit a milestone that no K-pop music artist has done before. This heartthrob girl group has garnered more than 2 billion views on YouTube with their hit number, ‘Ddu-Du Ddu-Du’. The official music video is revolving at the epitome of everyone’s attention.

It is not the only BLACKPINK track that is smashing some big view count as there are other tracks following not too far. The music video for ‘Kill This Love’ has gained over 1.7 billion views and still increasing. The bass-heavy number ‘Boombayah’ is at 1.5 billion-plus views. Similarly, there is ‘How You Like That’ at 1.1 billion views.

It is not only the group performances but Lisa, Jeenie, Rosé, and Jisoo are gaining millions of views with their solo ventures. The bombastic presence of the girl group in their music videos cannot be replaced and that is why singles from their latest album ‘Born Pink’ like ‘Pink Venom’ and ‘Shut Down’ is also garnering hundreds of millions of views within a few months of their premiere on YouTube.

‘Ddu-Du Ddu-Du’ was originally released back in June and appears in BLACKPINK’s debut EP ‘Square Up’. The track offers a fine blend of trap beats and bubblegum pop music which definitely makes many listeners bop their heads. The quartet idols’ quirky finger gun-waving choreography has put a lot more sensation to the track which resulted in getting viral. This track has made this group’s very first entry into many top charts such as the Billboard Hot 100. The song also topped the World Digital Song Sales chart.

However, the craze drastically increased after the release of their sophomore studio album, ‘Born Pink’. It also kicked off its long-awaited world tour and participation in U.S. music awards shows. They performed the track ‘Pink Venom’ at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. While earning the honor of TIME‘s 2022 Entertainer of the Year, they also took home the worldwide fans’ choice award at the 2022 MAMA Awards.

The high rise of this Korean girl gang is being retained by each member’s solo musical creations. BLACKPINK also looked back to this successful year with its YouTube Series, “Born Pink Memories”. The fans are saying, this is just beginning as they are certain that there will be more milestones created by the group in the coming days.
