No wonder Cardi B has become Olivia Rodrigo’s biggest supporter and their connection seems to be indomitable for the netizens.
Rodrigo was interviewed recently and she surprised the host with a small performance. She sang Cardi B’s praises in the recent Apple Music interview and shared the roots for her inspirations. She admitted that Cardi B’s strong feminism and catchy songwriting inspired her to deal with her vulnerability and flaunting it through her musicality. She gives me the courage to sort of say whatever I want to say and be honest in telling my story,” Rodrigo says. She thinks that she is “lucky to be a teenager at the time when Cardi is making music.”
Cardi B replied to Billboard’s tweet about Rodrigo’s latest interview. On Wednesday (April 21), she mentioned that the “Drivers License” singer’s words were “so sweet.”

Cardi B tweeted, “You doing sooo good for your age,” and encouraged her to keep her chin up for her artworks. She advised her to make progress in the music industry. “Don’t let no toxic shit get to you and don’t let nobody restrict you from your voice.”
She also responded with a second tweet saying “People will hate you because of the way other people love you.” Though it is not very clear whether she was expressing her thoughts over her struggles or it was her love for Olivia.
Olivia Rodrigo is going to release her debut album ‘Sour’ in May 2021.
