Popstar Demi Lovato is bringing back the memories of their wedding by taking their husband Jutes to the stage at Madison Square Garden for the It’s Not That Deep Tour show.

They offered a special performance of the song “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls, and the audience was more than happy to get this musical treat. The performance took place at Madison Square Garden, and the crowd also joined in, creating a wonderful shared experience.
Jordan Lutes, better known as Jutes, is a 35-year-old musician who also happens to love rock. He has been such a big fan of the song for so many years that John Rzeznik, the frontman of Goo Goo Dolls, also personally performed the song at his wedding in 2025 with Demi Lovato in California.

The California wedding was a part of her big dream as the “Cool for the Summer” singer previously shared in an interview in 2024, “I would love the Goo Goo Dolls to be able to perform ‘Iris’ at my wedding as a first dance,” and she further added, “That would be so special and so incredible.” Lovato’s dream came true, and so did Jutes on May 25, 2025, their grand wedding day.
Talking about the wedding-day performance, Jutes said, “That’s like one of the coolest things,” and he also added, “That was, in the moment, me and Demi were looking at each other, and I was just like, ‘What’s going on right now?!’ I was like, ‘This is the most iconic song ever. He’s right there, and it’s for us!'”
Rzeznik is currently 60 years old, and Jutes said about him, “Icon. Such a legend for doing that,” and further added, “Forever grateful.” Talking about the wedding day, Lovato said that it was a ‘surreal’ experience and also said, “This was a pinch-us moment. It’s our favorite song and has so much meaning to both of us.” Goo Goo Dolls also posted on social media, “It was an absolute pleasure attending the wedding of @ddlovato& @jutesmusic and performing ‘Iris’ during their first dance together as husband & wife ❤️💍.”
The couple’s performance at the NYC concert is perhaps bringing back the reminiscence of their wedding, which took place around a year ago. There is no doubt that ‘Iris’ is one of those songs that has connected the hearts of many, and it is a relatable moment for the fans to see Lovato and Jutes also feel the same.
