Doechii is set to take over Chicago with her swamp vibes on Sunday. She also hinted at bringing a surprise guest to the stage during her festival performance.

Doechii is getting ready to shake things up in Chicago this weekend, and she might not be doing it alone! The Florida-born rapper is set to hit the T-Mobile stage of Lollapalooza at 6.55 p.m. on Sunday, August 2. She will take the stage as part of the Illinois festival lineup, right before Rufus du Sol takes over as headliners.
But there is more. In a recent post shared on X this Thursday, 31st July, Doechii hinted that she might be bringing out a surprise guest. “Im thinking about bringing a guest to DOECHII-PALOOZA …,” the Florida rapper wrote. “who should it be.” She teased this, leaving fans guessing and hyped for the big reveal. No names have been confirmed yet, but Chicago will be packed with artists this weekend, so the options for Doechii are wide open. One name that keeps coming up in every conversation is Tyler, the Creator. He is already in town for his own set at Chromakopia. So the timing and the connection both make sense.

Doechii is fresh off a huge year in her career. Her mixtape, ‘Alligator Bites Never Heal’ blew up and even won the Best Rap Album at the 2025 Grammys. A single called ‘Anxiety’ climbed all the way to No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 not long after. This gave the artist her first top 10 hit of her career. To top it off, Doechii was also named Billboard’s Woman of the Year in the Music Awards earlier this year. Now she is taking the momentum to the stage in Chicago and possibly bringing another sparkling name with her.
While accepting her Billboard Woman of the Year award earlier this year, Doechii said, “I cannot believe it was just two years ago I stood on this stage right here and accepted the Billboard Rising Star Award.” “I had literally performed so hard I danced my shoes off and had to hop up to the mic. And here I am. That moment reflects how I approach my career – always go full out, always go hard, and always be fab,” she continued.
She also talked about her upcoming project in a July 2025 interview with Vogue. When asked about her second album, Doechii said, “I know it’s gonna be a similar theme from my last project, of a real, deep vulnerability.” “It’s gonna be the new lessons that I’m learning, and that’s why I say it’s hard to talk about now, because I’m still learning.”
Fans will have to wait until Saturday night to see who shows up on stage with the Florida native. But one thing is clear: the ‘Denial is a River’ hitmaker’s set is about to be one of the weekend’s biggest moments. The festival is set to run for four days in Grant Park, Chicago, starting Thursday, July 31, and ending Sunday, August 3. Along with Tyler and Rufus, this year’s headliners also include Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter.
