The K-pop boy band, BOYNEXTDOOR, gave fans a full circle moment with their first tour. The group gave a three-night performance in Seoul, South Korea.

The momentum:

BOYNEXTDOOR may have debuted in May 2023, but they have already built a loyal global fanbase, especially among young listeners in Korea. Their first tour featured 21 songs, including tracks from four EPs, a soundtrack, and the fan song ‘400 Years’. Leader JAEHYUN explained during their Incheon stop that they stuck to the original versions to show the group’s identity. But at a venue like Inspire Arena, with 15,000 seats, that choice felt ambitious. December is also a packed month in K-pop, and the group had already shown their skills at big award shows. That definitely raised the bar. Still, the moment was special as fans lit up the venue with light sticks and flashlights. The group stood teary-eyed as the fans sang “So let’s go see the stars” in unison.
Seoul encore:
BOYNEXTDOOR kicked off their Seoul encore with ‘Nice Guy’, the same high-energy version from the 2024 MAMA stage. From that moment, everything felt fresh. The setlist, visuals, styling, and energy – everything amazed the fans. They switched between groovy tracks in white suits and street-style bangers with bold graphics. The group used the full space of KSPO DOME with smooth transitions like a dance crew filling the stage during ‘Fadeaway’ and a new break before RIWOO-choreographed ‘But Sometimes’. A live band joined in, adding power to songs like ‘Step by Step’, ‘Amnesia’, and ‘I Feel Good’. Then came the intense ‘Parental Advisory’!

The Tokyo-loved unit stages returned too. JAEHYUN, LEEHAN, and WOONHAK covered ‘Bling-Bang-Bang-Born’ and ‘See Through’, while SUNGHO, RIWOO, and TAESAN took on ‘Aoto Natsu’ and ‘Congratulations’. The mood shifted again with ‘Crying’ and ‘My Dear’, led by SUNGHO’s guitar and ending in an emotional version of ‘Pebble’. Even after the members left, the band kept playing. They closed with ‘Earth, Wind & Fire’, tying back to their debut concert. During the encore, the group also stepped into the crowd. On the final night, WOONHAK yelled, “Put your phones away!” and fans did. With 27 songs across three nights, the memory left behind was unforgettable.
Exceeding expectations:
So what should fans expect from a K-pop concert? Maybe it is less about the show itself and more about witnessing artist growth on stage. Fans often see these artists from their teen years, throughout every step of becoming who they really are. Seven months ago, BOYNEXTDOOR raised a serious question. However, with their encore, they answered it perfectly. Every detail on the stage showed how much the group cared. Their intent was honest, and on that stage, the group of 6 young talents gave their fans everything.

Lollapalooza debut:
BOYNEXTDOOR lit up the Lollapalooza Aftershow on Saturday night, warming up for the big moment. Then on Sunday, the group took over the main stage in Chicago with a full houng-long set. It is their first complete concert experience in North America, and it was a milestone. Fans are wondering what new moments these six young boys will collect in this place? Only time will tell. However, one thing is for sure. Whatever they fine, the memories will not be theirs alone. They will stay with every fan who shared the moment.
