Mumbai just had the biggest blast with the sixth edition of the Global Youth Festival, which took place at Jio World Garden on December 6 and December 7. The event drew attention from thousands of young attendees with a two-day blast of music, purpose-driven programming, and wellness. This event was much different than regular music events as it was focused on inspiring young people to grow and give back to society.

This event was organized by the Global Youth Community, which operates across 20 different countries and over 170 cities. The event was the perfect example of community engagement, where the youth of India could engage in something productive other than just entertainment. However, music was still the major attraction of the event, where Stebin Ben headlined the second day of the event.

Packed with crowds, the audiences also enjoyed the performances by Backstage Siblings, Mahadevan Brothers, Last Minute India, and others, who offered a hefty dose of organic energy with open jamming sessions and encouraged all the attendees to join them and create music together.

Other than music, it was also focused on learning and wellness, which are the two most important ingredients in a young person’s life. There was a wisdom masterclass by Pujya Gurudevshri that intrigued a lot of people and received strong participation. There was also sound healing, breathing techniques, yoga, meditation, and many other activities as part of the workshop. There was an aerial yoga hosted by The Sky Pavilion, while on the other hand, Flow Pavilion offered a guided wellness experience for all in the two-day event.

Youth also love adrenaline, and there was a fair share of adventure activities, which included outdoor bouldering, oversized games, pickleball, and neon karting. There was also the Craft Pavilion, which arranged a series of hands-on activities that attendees could try. There were many kinds of activities like ceramics, fluid art, tufting, charm-making, and the list goes on.

The event also shed ample light on the importance of sustainability in the modern world through solar installation demos, eco workshops, animal welfare activities, health awareness booths, as well as collaborative art projects through which the youth can contribute to the welfare of society.

The two-day event took place from 2 pm to 10 pm each day, and there was a wristband system for re-entry. It goes without saying that the youth of India were quite delighted with this innovative approach.
