The album project consists of raw sound recordings from the ground of Mahakumbha, along with ancient chants and a contemporary musical approach, which makes it sound very unique and captivating. The immersive soundscapes are deftly produced to offer listeners an ethereal sonic experience. It is a grand music project that was enabled by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, along with a handful of media partners, including HistoryTV18, Network18, and Universal Music Group.

This grand project also includes contributions from more than fifty global music artists, and the list includes Grammy winners, nominees, and legendary musicians from the Indian classical and contemporary music industry. Starting from Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Kanika Kapoor, and Raja Kumari, and plenty of international instrumentalists were part of the project.

A lot of people are calling the Sounds of Kumbha a “global spiritual memoir,” which celebrates a holy human gathering. And this spiritual journey is only getting stronger with more global recognition.
