The 43-year-old actress Kate Hudson has finally talked about why she didn’t choose a music career in her life. She did the confession in the podcast ‘Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi’. She has shared that it’s her biological father Bill Hudson, for whom she didn’t want to come into the music industry. She said that ‘Earlier on in my career, I thought I would definitely do music, but then ‘Almost Famous’ happened’. It is the Oscar-nominated role as groupie Penny Lane in Cameron Crowe’s 2000 film.

She has also added to her statement that ‘But later on I kind of rejected it because I was like, ‘You know what?’ As you do when you’re dealing with daddy issues. I don’t want to connect to that part because that’s my dad. That’s all dad’. Along with that, she said ‘If I put that out in the world and people didn’t like it, it would destroy me. If that one connection that I had to him, I failed miserably at, would be devastating to me. I wasn’t ready for that, the ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’’.

The 70’s superstar Bill Hudson married the actress Goldie Hawn and she gave birth to Oliver and Kate in the years 1976 and 1979. Later on, they divorced in 1980 and Kate started to live with Hawn’s partner Kurt Russell. She has also said about Russell that ‘I was raised by this incredible father… And I love my real father too. I’ve been able to heal that’.

But now this artist is going to release an album and that is why she appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’. And the show she said ‘I’ve been making a record for like a year… Every time you’re doing interviews, people are like ‘Do you have any regrets?’ And I’m like, ‘I’m early 40s, not yet’.

She recently admitted that ‘I’ve been writing music since I was 19, and I’ve never shared it, and so I thought that would be one of my great regrets’. She continued by saying ‘I have no expectations. I just want to put a record out, and so I’m doing it, and I’m really excited’. So her album ‘Fool’s Gold’ will come up next year.
