It has been a long while since Kid Rock released their last album ‘Sweet Southern Sugar’. However, the tracks ‘Greatest Show on Earth’, ‘Tennessee Mountain-Top’, etc still feel fresh as new.

During the event of Detroit radio station WRIF’s 50th Anniversary, where various musicians joined together, Kid Rock provided a highly anticipated update on the upcoming album.

In the show, while talking to Meltdown, Rock said “This Covid thing has been crazy for everybody. And my heart goes out to everybody who’s been affected by it, especially people who’ve lost people.”

The humble artist shared some of the golden memories with the host and also shared his emotions for the affected people. However, the lockdown had been very fruitful for him.

The artist further added, “But it’s kind of afforded me… I haven’t had this feeling since my first big record, Devil Without a Cause, where I’ve had this much time to sit around and re-write, zero in, replay — just meticulously go song to song to song.”

The artist is at full-throttle in this journey of crafting tracks and came up with 18 new songs.

He said “I’ve got 18 that I’m in love with now, and four more that I wanna record. And I don’t know what the hell I’m gonna do with them. But thank God I’ve got my studio. That’s been my saving grace through this thing.”
