Pop star Ariana Grande is best known for emotionally enriched songs, and a similar essence is expected with her upcoming project, ‘Hate That I Made You Love Me’. The artist teased the song through an Instagram post with a demure black and white picture, and it was captioned, ‘cause i barely tried’. Despite being just four simple words, the lyric from the upcoming song cuts deep into the emotions of the fans, and they are eagerly waiting for it.

Grande made the post on May 26, and it quickly went viral through the fans who were mesmerized with the monochromatic aesthetic of the cong cover where Ariana can be found in her muse. The visuals also helped to tease her third studio album project, ‘Petal,’ which is scheduled to be released in a few weeks.

The post on Instagram was re-shared by the artist to remind listeners of the release date for ‘Hate That I Made You Love Me’ on May 29. This is the first song appearing from ‘Petal,’ and since the album will be released on July 31, this song will offer a perfect preview of the entire project. There will be a total of 12 songs in the album. Previously, Grande also teased the project on Instagram, saying, “It’s a little feral … definitely from a place I’ve been maybe too shy or polite to tap into before.”

The anticipation for “Hate That I Made You Love Me” is quite high right now, with the artist sharing snippets from the song on May 18. However, adding no vocals or lyrics was a clever choice that helped to embrace the eerie and haunting soundscape with instrumentals and droplet-like sounds.

Before the release of the album ‘Petal’, the Wicked star is ready to embark on her first music tour in six years as the Eternal Sunshine Tour kicks off this June. Grande is all set to perform in 41 arenas across different countries in North America and Europe. The tour is starting on June 6, and it will continue up to September 1. The first show is taking place in the Oakland Arena in Oakland, while the last show will be held at The O2 Arena in London. Fans are expecting to get some special performance of the “Petal” songs before their release.
