Get ready for Grammy Award-winning rapper Cardi B’s rap magic as the ‘WAP’ creators have announced the date for the release of her upcoming track “Imaginary Players”.

The upcoming album is called ‘Am I The Drama’, which sounds like a rhetorical question for the listeners. On Monday, August 11, Cardi B declared the release date for the new single “Imaginary Players,” which is appearing on the upcoming album. The Grammy Award-winning rapper is paying tribute to Jay-Z as he has also dropped a banger with the same name, “Imaginary Players,” which appeared in her album ‘In My Lifetime, Vol. 1’ that was released back in 1997.
Cardi B and her partner Stefon Diggs had already foreshadowed the song’s release around two months ago on Instagram. Soon after making the post, the rapper came live on Instagram and talked about her upcoming single and what it is about. She said, “This single is really how I talk all day, every day but in a song.” The rapper further continued, “It’s like real flex s**t, real calm flex s**t type s**t, you know what I’m saying?”

The ‘WAP’ rapper further said, “If only y’all knew the story for what I had to go through with this single and to do something else but when the song come out I’m going to tell y’all more about the story.” In the recent Instagram Post, the rapper has also shared a picture with the caption “Just a lil taste of the drama. IMAGINARY PLAYERS THIS FRIDAY”.
In the photo, the rapper could be seen in an all-white faux fur coat along with iconic pink hair. She could be seen sitting in front of a classic Rolls-Royce model, which is also white. The most iconic part of the outfit is the runway boots worn by the rapper, which are designed by Marc Jacobs himself. It goes without saying that the anticipation for the new single is as high as the upcoming album.
The release of this latest banger comes after a couple of weeks of Cardi’s first hosting night for WWE SummerSlam, which took place in New Jersey. She teased an unreleased track from her upcoming album, but the release is not confirmed yet. “Imaginary Players,” on the other hand, is all set to drop this Friday.
