R&B and hip-hop music artist Kehlani is making their fans happy again with the announcement of their fifth studio album project. The self-titled album will be released this April.
This fifth studio album by the singer-songwriter follows her last release in 2024, called ‘Crash’. The announcement for the upcoming project reads that the album “presents Kehlani fully in her element — raw, reflective and unapologetically herself.” Perhaps that is why it is self-titled, as it represents a fair share of the artist herself. While most artists drop their self-titled project at the beginning of their career, Kehlani makes an exception by making it her fifth project instead of her debut.
The album ‘Kehlani’ will also offer insightful storytelling along with the emotive vocals of the artist, and fans can’t wait to enjoy this new chapter. 2025 was highly successful for Kehlani with the R&B/pop crossover release of ‘Folded,’ and it instantly became a hit anthem.

She is a seven-time Grammy nominee who got their first two golden awards at the 68th annual ceremony, which took place in February. She won the award for best R&B and best R&B performance with just a single music release. Kehlani will be presented with the Impact Award at the Billboard Women in Music 2026, which is all set to take place on April 29. They are also preparing for a special performance at the event.
They have achieved a handful of milestones in their career, and most of the achievements came from ‘Folded’ only. This song ranked at no.6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and this single is also the first track by the artist to be a part of the top 10. The song also ranked at no.1 on three other Billboard charts, namely R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, Rhythmic Airplay, and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.
Due to the wide popularity, ‘Folded’ was also released with a “Folded Homage Pack” which features many other R&B music artists, namely Ne-Yo, Toni Braxton, JoJo, Brandy, and Tank. The song has successfully garnered more than 800 million global streams, and it is currently hailing at no.22 on Billboard’s Global 200 Chart.
Kehlani also released another single last year, titled “Out the Window,” which instantly gained massive attention from the fans. This song also reached the top 10 on the charts like Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Rhythmic Airplay. It is time for Kehlani fans to enjoy her upcoming studio album project.
