Kesha Brings the Dollar Sign Back for a Special 15 Year Celebration of Animal and Cannibal

Kesha celebrates 15 years of Animal and Cannibal with a new deluxe edition. The release marks a big moment for fans and brings fresh life to her debut era.

Kesha celebrates fifteen years of Animal and Cannibal with a brand new deluxe edition, and it feels like a real full-circle moment for everyone who grew up with that sound. The music shaped a whole era, filled with wild energy, messy emotion, late-night memories, and long drives that felt endless. This new release brings that spirit back in a way that feels alive again, like opening an old photo album and feeling every snapshot pull you in.

The deluxe edition arrives this Friday in digital form, while vinyl and a two-CD set land early next year. The collection carries both original projects along with five bonus tracks, and two of them have never been released before, which adds a real sense of magic and curiosity. One of the unreleased songs is ‘Butterscotch’. It is produced by the late Busbee and Michael Linney, and was originally created for Animal. The other is ‘Shots On The Hood Of My Car’. The song was recorded in 2010 for Cannibal. Fans have waited a long time for this return, and it feels like the right moment to honor the past while opening the door for what comes next.

Kesha uploaded a post on Instagram talking about the anniversary, saying, “Animals. It’s been 15 years since animal & cannibal.” “I can’t believe the balls I had as a young broke girl, at the silver platter, jumbos clown room, riding around Los Angeles in my trans am, fucking shit up listening to my records in the eagles house up Laurel canyon, visiting my friends at the drunk tank, watching the sunrise drinking gold shlaager up at the Hollywood sign.” “I have literally grown up in front and beside all of you. Thank you for singing with me, dancing with me, loving me and being beside me for everything. TikTok on the clock but the party don’t stop.”
