Lorde has revealed the release date of her new song ‘Mood Ring’ and increased the anticipation evermore among the fans and followers.
The singer has declared that the song will be premiered on 17th August and the buzz is already high. It is the final single from the forthcoming album ‘Solar Power’ for which the listeners are eagerly waiting.
The versatile singer from New Zealand has co-directed the music video herself and shown her creative side alongside Joel Kefali. The official music video is all set to premiere at 7 pm BST on August 17.
It has been also announced that Lorde will be hosting a pre-premiere Livestream at 6.45 pm on the same day.
‘Mood Ring’ is the third single that the singer gas released from the upcoming album. Previously, the artist has dropped two other tracks from the album. The title track ‘Solar Power’ has been released in June followed by ‘Stoned at the Nail Salon’, released last month.
The artist has already provided a taste of the album with numerous live performances of both of the tracks. She debuted the title track when she appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. She also performed the track ‘Stoned at the Nail Salon’ on Late Night with Seth Meyers. No to mention, but the artist also revives the show’s Day Drinking segment.
The trendy YouTube series ‘Hot Ones’ has also featured the artist where she discussed that the flavor of this new project is more of a secret than the past. In this show, the celebrities are interviewed while eating extra spicy chicken wings with progressively hot sauces.
In the show, the artist said to host Sean Evans, “Not because I necessarily need it left to interpretation, but because it’s about something that’s very precious to me.”
With controversy arrived in the last month with producer Jack Antonoff, the singer said, “I haven’t made a Jack Antonoff record. I’ve made a Lorde record and he’s helped me make it and very much deferred to me on production and arrangement. Jack would agree with this. To give him that amount of credit is frankly insulting.”
