Meek Mill announces the release of his next album ‘Expensive Pain’

Meek Mill

Grammy-Nominated musician Meek Mill, who is also an entrepreneur, and criminal justice reform advocate announced his plans to release the much anticipated fifth studio album named ‘Expensive Pain’. The album is all set to hit the scene on October 1. The famous American rapper made the announcement on Instagram accompanied by artwork by Nina Chanel Abney. As a part of his announcement, the Philadelphia native unveiled the album with this exclusive artwork.

The album will include Mill’s newly-released songs that include ‘Sharing Locations (feat. Lil Durk & Lil Baby)’ and ‘Blue Notes 2 (feat. Lil Uzi Vert)’. The latter track is a sequel to meek Mill’s much famed single ‘Blue Notes’ that appeared on his DC4 mix tape back in 2016 October.

Meek Mills return effort kicked in after he served time in prison for breaching his probation in 2017. And, as per the reports, it was led by his Billboard Hot 100 hit song ‘Going Bad’ which included Drake. The album ‘Expensive Pain’ shall serve as the artist’s first full-length album release since he released CHAMPIONSHIPS back on November 30, 2018, that included collaborations with Cardi B, Drake, JAY-Z, Anuel AA, Future, and Ella Mai amongst many others. CHAMPIONSHIPS debuted at the Number 1 position on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums that marked his second-chart topper following his album Dreams Worth More Than Money released back in 2015 that was also nominated for being the Best Rap Album at the 2020 Grammys.

It was last month when Meek had received the Nelson Mandela change maker award which honored him for his social work and altruism with REFORM Alliance. Mill serves as the organization’s co-chair alongside his Philadelphia 76ers partner and friend, Michael Rubin.

Mill evolved from Philadelphia’s hottest underground rapper to becoming one of the world’s preeminent musical artists who has released a slew of stunning studio albums and singles, including ‘Dreams and Nightmares (Intro)’, ‘Ima Boss’, ‘All Eyes on You’, and ‘Going Bad’ among others.

However, the full track list of the album ‘Expensive Pain’ is yet to be confirmed but the album is rumored to feature the bonus track named ‘Flamerz Flow’. On 14th September, Meek filmed a new music video with Giggs in Peckham, and both the rappers performed at London’s Wireless Festival last weekend, before they teamed up to record visuals for an unreleased collaboration.

Fans can now pre-save ‘Expensive Pain’ now. Stay tuned to check out the release on October 1, 2021.
