Globally acclaimed neo-soul singer/songwriter Syd has announced the release date of her brand new solo album “Broken Hearts Club”. The album is set to release on 8 April this year.
Sydney Loren Bennett, popularly known as Syd, has been associated with the musical genres of hip-hop, neo-soul, and alternative R&B since 2009.
The 29-year old music artist is coming up with her new album after five years. The music label this time is Columbia Records.
The last solo album from the artist came in 2017 in the form of “Fin”.
Out of all the 13 tracks in the forthcoming album, the music video of the track “CYBAH (feat. Lucky Daye)” has been already shared by the artist on YouTube.
The track went on to give a wonderful preview of what to expect from the upcoming album.
In a public statement, Syd has said, “The album is about a relationship I had that ended in my first real broken heart; it almost felt like I joined a club because all of my friends went through similar experiences. It was like a rite of passage. I started writing the album on the relationship when I was in love. You’re really getting the whole journey from the beginning to the end. I want people to find it beautiful. It’s super vulnerable, sentimental, and it’s soft. There’s touching moments and a couple of dark moments.”
Some of the tracks from the album that is going to be released on 8 April are “No Way”, “Heartfelt Freestyle”, “Goodbye My Love”, “Right Track (feat. Smino)”, “Out Loud (feat. Kehlani)”, and 8 more.
Tracks from the upcoming album like “Fast car” and “Missing Out” have been already previewed by the artist last year.
The Internet singer from Los Angeles, California is once again building up the hype among fans and listeners.
“Broken Hearts Club” will be released on the music-streaming platform Apple Music and Spotify. The album’s full duration will be of 39 minutes.
