Criticism is something that Shania Twain has been facing since the onset of her career. However, her hard work and dedication to her art have never been shattered. After the release of her album ‘Women In Me’ in the year 1995she was criticized in the worst possible way, although not for her music. Today, when she reminds all those mishaps’ her eyes get wet.

On the screen, the lives of celebrities look like fairy tales. But when seen closer, the mist gets cleared. Like that, when one will see the Instagram posts of the artist Shania Twain, he/she will feel everything is so fun and adventurous, unaffected by any bad comments of random people. However, the recent interview of her demystified all the delusions of people about celebrities. She shared how difficult was it for her to survive in the industry as a budding artist of country pop. She said, ‘I was criticized as an artist, in a recent episode on Home Now radio on Apple Music Hits. Even she also mentioned that what kind of reactions she got after her release ‘Women In Me’ from some critics- ‘She’s America’s best-paid lap dancer in Nashville. She’s hot, but can she sing…?’ Moreover, she was considered to be a “flash of the pan”. It was just her sheer belief for music that never let her be caged in criticism.

The long run of critics after her was not over here. She has criticized even for the album “Whose bed have your boots been under”, in 1995. She wrote the song herself. But again, critics chose to focus on everything else rather than her music. She told in the interview ‘I was a little bit hurt, I guess, at the harsh critics, not focusing on the music.”

At such impressionable age of 29, it was quite difficult for Shania to ignore criticism and focus on her work, however, she did, and that is what has made her today the ‘‘Queen of Country Pop’’. The age would have been incomplete without her timeless classics. Nonetheless, she is 56; at this age, she has made us look forward to her “Let’s Go!” The Vegas residency. It is going to take place from 2nd -12th December 2021 to 11th -26th February 2022.
