The Weeknd has released the video of the song ‘Out Of Time’ featuring the ‘Squid Game’ actress HoYeon Jung along with his good friend Jim Carrey in a cameo role.
The Weeknd has launched the video of the song ‘Out Of Time’, from his January released album Dawn FM. And in the video, he shared the screen with the ‘Squid Game’ star HoYeon Jung. And Jim Carrey played a cameo role of a strange doctor briefly by the end of the video.
In the video, the time the Weeknd and HoYeon have shared offers some compelling Lost is Translation vibes. An introverted male meets a smiling and vibrant girl and spends their time in a hotel.
The silenced closeness inside an elevator and the running around the lobby are vividly present in the video. And the dancing and singing on the karaoke platform were followed by a gala time that they shared in the dining area.
Though, the love story that was shown in the video doesn’t end with a happily ever after. By the end of the video, there is blood spreading on a dining table delivering a drastic eerie aura. Along with Weeknd standing in front of a window with bright lights coming in, an aged hand reached him from the back.
Cut to the next scene where Jim Carrey comes to the video dressed as a doctor and put a mask on the Weeknd. And lastly, we see that the hands that reached him from the back are his own hand now.
The poster and the cover picture of the album are his faces with brilliant prosthetics on and by the end of the video; the audience will be carried to the Dawn FM aura. And the song massively grabbed attention when the album got released in January.
Several relatable lines like, ‘I’ve been so cold to the ones who loved me, baby’, have popularized the song widely. And his bewitching voice always turns the lyrics into something magical within an instance.
And the lines, ‘I and I remember when I held you, you begged me with your drowning eyes to stay, and I regret I didn’t tell you. Now I can’t keep you from loving him, you made up your mind’, elevated by his engulfing voice. And a charming smile like the one he has is always welcome.
