Je-Lo fans are currently going gaga over the latest remixed version of ‘This Time Around’ which featured K-pop Girl Group (G)I-DLE, released on March 15th.
It is very unusual to see Western artists joining forces with the K-pop girl groups and boy bands for a collaborative musical project, However, it is also the most exclusive collaboration since K-pop artists are often found to perform solo or in groups rather than teaming up with an English pop singer. But this time, it is Jennifer Lopez who made an exception by collaborating with the famous K-pop Girl Group (G)I-DLE for the remixed project ‘This Time Around’. The latest version of the track is a lot different than the original track that was released before by the artist. Lopez and (G)I-DLE worked together to create this amazing rendition that comes with a lot of energy and plenty of immersive moments.
In the new remixed track, the third verse of the original track has been replaced by new lyrics which are written and performed by the 5-piece talented girl group (G)I-DLE. This verse includes the vocal inputs of Minnie, Yuqi, Soyeon, and Miyeon, who sing and rap, both. However, the remaining member of the group, Shushua is not connected with the group since February. The talented members of the group offered ample support and creativity in crafting this project that goes beyond the lingual barriers. The bars and lyrical approach in the track are quite captivating for all. Soyeon and Minnie sang a few powerful tracks and also wrote many verses included in the group, The lyric goes like ““What is wrong? Our love-hate is bruised with false rumors / It’s not worth it, laugh it all out with heartbreak within gossip / I’m in your arms all night long / We laughed and cried when we were immature, bad love or Yeah you know, they’re sort of doing it the wrong way”. Clearly, there is power and excellence in the track which makes it more intriguing.
(G)I-DLE’s leading member, Soyeon has worked as a co-composer and co-lyricist in projects and the remixed version of ‘This Time Around’ is just another example of her dynamic musical aura. The original track ‘This Time Around’ appeared in Jennifer Lopez’s last studio album, titled ‘This Is Me… Now’. This album project has gathered much attention from the world. There was also an accompanying film titled “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story” that offers a better picture of her love and personal life.
