Lana Del Rey is embracing big moments of her life with joy, no summertime sadness for our alt-pop girlie. On June 22, the singer turned 40 and shared the celebration on Instagram. The ‘Young and Beautiful’ artist spent the day surrounded by her loved ones, marking the milestone with gratitude and warmth.
“Just a couple in-laws and a baby,” Del Rey began the caption. “Thank you for sharing your birthday with me cancer queen Phoenix 🐦🔥 i’m still convinced I gotta be 50/50 Gemini tho, that would explain all three Lil vibes I got going on all the time.” “so excited to see everybody starting tomorrow on tour and for all the folks joining us. Truly thank you thank you love you,” the singer concluded the Instagram post. This featured a picture of the singer holding two big birthday cakes, and she was seen in a matching camo set.

The singer is hitting the stage for a short run of summer shows across the U.K. She will perform in cities like Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, Dublin, and London between late June and early July. After wrapping up the U.K. dates, the ‘West Coast’ singer will return to the U.S. for a special performance in Saint Charles, Missouri, set for August 3. Fans are excited to receive an unforgettable set from Del Rey.

The Grammy-nominated artist released ‘Bluebird’ and ‘Henry, Come On’, two brand new country-inspired songs this April. According to reports, the singer also has an album in the works. First called ‘Lasso’, the album was then renamed to ‘The Right Person Will Stay’. The project was set for a May release but got pushed back to a later date. “I’m really happy for this album to be moving along. I do have a lot more to say [about] that … I mean, you do know it’s not going to come on time right? Like… should I even tell you that the name changed again?” the singer said in a now-deleted Instagram Reel in April. “Should I tell you that now, while you’re so happy you even have a song? Yeah… maybe I’ll wait.”
Last October, Lana Del Rey had an interview with PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly where she talked about taking her time with the album. “I think all the songs have been Americana, and I want to wait to see what the musical atmosphere feels like,” the singer said. “‘Cause I don’t usually feel like I need a pause in the creation process, but if there’s a literal energetic pause that almost feels, like, physical, then I have to wait, and I don’t know why.”
