Demi Lovato makes a bold return to the music scene with her new single ‘Here All Night’. It is a fiery dance-pop anthem that cements her latest record as one of the standout releases of the year! On 4th September, Thursday, Lovato posted a video on Instagram, teasing a follow-up to her previous single ‘Fast’, released in August. The previous single marked the artist’s official return to the pop music scene after a few years spent on rock music. The singer twirls around wearing fishnet tights with a sparkly black thong in the video as she sings along to an unreleased track. This is what seemed to be Lovato’s new single, ‘Here All Night’.

‘Here All Night’ marks the second release from Demi Lovato’s upcoming ninth studio album, giving fans another glimpse into her bold new era. The track follows “Fast,” a sleek and sultry electro-pop anthem that made an impressive impact. The previous song debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Pop Songs Chart. With its pulsing production and Demi’s commanding vocals, ‘Here All Night’ definitely builds on the momentum for the artist.
Talking about the songwriting process of the single, the artist said, ’Here All Night’ is a breakup song I wrote by channeling a character, and it was so freeing to step into someone else’s story.” Demi adds on the video, “From the moment we finished the song, I knew it needed to be a dance video. It’s about dancing through heartbreak. It’s raw and empowering, with a playful, voyeuristic point of view.”
According to Rolling Stone, Demi’s ninth studio album is described as “celebratory dance-pop”. Sharing his experience of working with Lovato, producer Zhone commented, “It’s been so inspiring working with Demi and experiencing her journey of continued leveling up. She is such a master in the studio. This album is about letting inhibitions go, and we had so much fun making this music! It really comes across throughout.”

It has been years since Demi Lovato leaned into the glossy pop sound now heard on ‘Fast’ and ‘Here All Night’. After 2021’s raw and emotional ‘Dancing With the Devil’, the artist shifted gears with 2022’s ‘Holy Fvck’, diving headfirst into punk and hard rock influences. That record highlighted a darker, edgier side of their artistry, contrasting the pop roots that first launched their career. In 2023, they revisited past hits with ‘Revamped’, reimagining fan favorites as rock anthems. Now, Demi’s latest singles mark a return to the dance-pop lane. It signals yet another exciting reinvention in their ever-evolving musical journey!
