Jisoo from BLACKPINK Teased a Mystery Duet and Fans Assume It’s Zayn Malik

It seems like BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is preparing to launch an upcoming single soon, and it is featured by another male pop artist, whom fans are assuming to be Zayn Malik.

BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is cooking something major as the singer has teased an upcoming collaboration project along with a mystery popstar. A cryptic teaser for the song has been shared on social media by the artist, and the hint for the upcoming single is pretty evident.

The fans are creating a massive buzz for the upcoming single by the K-pop sensation, who has a massive fanbase all over the world. There is a shadowy figure behind Jisoo in the poster, which suggests that this song will be a duet. While the name of the collaborating artist is still kept as a mystery, fans have already figured that person is none other than British pop star Zayn Malik, the former member of One Direction.

According to a source for the Korean Herald, “Jisoo is releasing a new ballad duet with Zayn, sometime in this month.” The poster shared on Instagram shows a male figure standing behind Jisoo with his back turned, and there is a resemblance to the “Pillowtalk” singer, with both of them standing in black outfits with a gothic essence.

The images further confirmed the fact that the title for the song will be “Eyes Closed.” The caption for the Instagram post reads, “Two voices, one orbit. Coming soon.” The thing that is giving off the Zayn vibes is the tattoo behind the head of the male figure. This potential collaboration took place for months as Malik was last spotted in July at Blackpink’s show at New York’s MetLife Stadium. He went there with his daughter Khai. Later on, the singer posted pictures on Instagram after the show where the caption reads, “@BLACKPINKOFFICIAL THANK YOU 🙂 ME & KHAI LOVED IT.”

The timing is quite perfect for this collaboration as Jisoo is currently taking a break from the “Deadline” world tour by BLACKPINK, which started back in July in Seoul. The last shows took place on August 15th and August 16th at the O2 Arena in London, and now, the band is gearing up for their upcoming performance in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, which is taking place on October 18th.

Jisoo previously dropped a solo EP called “Amortage” in February, which offered listeners a total of 4 new singles. The upcoming single will further extend her solo music career. On the other hand, Zayn started his solo career back in 2015. Quite evidently, there is a high anticipation among the fans about the pair, which is not confirmed yet.

Stay tuned to find out more.
