One of the most promising artists of this generation, Fascination 127, showcases his incredible raw talent in the newly dropped album. Comprising a total of 11 songs in the album, ‘Memories of Lebanon’ is hauntingly beautiful, carrying something personal, yet it is wide in scope. Listening to the album makes listeners feel like walking through an old port city that once glowed with life. The opening track, ‘Fascination 127’, sets the tone with layered production and a steady and reflective pulse, while ‘I’m OK’ carries a quiet ache. The vocals on both tracks sound restrained, yet extremely enchanting. ‘Nord’ and ‘South Miami Beach’ shift the mood with textured soundscapes. With spacious and cinematic compositions, the artist gave the lyrics room to breathe and create an impact on his audience that they will remember for a long time.
The rest of the tracks, like ‘Kingdom’, ‘Saucerful (RIP)’, ‘Green Apple Sea’, ‘Right As Rain’, ‘Ooh Baby’, and ‘Wonderin’ showcase a softer side of the artist, bringing melodic warmth to the table. However, the listeners could feel the tension through the stratified compositions. The artist has presented a different version of himself in each track, making it impossible for his listeners not to feel his feelings. The closing track of ‘Memories of Lebanon’ is ‘Transition Song’, and the musician has kept the record unresolved on purpose. There is no loud message on the songs; instead, the entire album reminds you that beauty can fade, and that history leaves marks long after the lights dim. So, listen to the songs on SoundCloud and YouTube, along with some of his other tracks such as ‘I’m Ok’, ‘Nord’, ‘Twisted Steel with Sex Appeal’, etc. Follow him on his website, Instagram, and Facebook for more updates.
